This program is designed to prepare persons for initial employment or upgrade or retrain persons who are/or have been employed as a patient care assistant. The program prepares persons for employment at the aide/orderly level with hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other health care centers and as an auxiliary worker in nursing service who is trained to assist and work under the direction of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. The Center offers several day classes and night classes each year. Enrollments are processed only at designated times based on waiting lists. TB Test and FDLE Level 2 Background Check required before start of class. This program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing and will prepare you to take the State Certification exam.


2010-2011 Nursing Assistant Schedule

Day Classes:Meet Monday-Friday 7:45AM-1:30PM
Clinicals are during regular class hours. Five classes are offered during this school year.

  • August 9-September 23
  • September 27-November 12
  • November 29-January 31
  • February 4-April 1
  • April 8-May 25

Night Classes:Meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4PM-8PM. Clinicals are held Saturdays from 6:30AM-1:30PM. Four classes are offered this school year.
