Computer Systems Technology prepares students for initial employment as computer technicians. Computer technicians maintain, troubleshoot, build, and upgrade computers. The course also teaches networking skills including how to install and maintain a network with an emphasis on network certification. Theory and a "hands-on" approach is used to give the students a well-rounded knowledge of computers.

The A+  Certification course prepares students for the Comptia A+ certification exam. The Network+ training prepares students for Comptia Network+ certification exam. Completion of this course allows articulation to any community college in Florida equal to 9-20 credit hours.

Game Simulation and Animation is a new program open to high school students.

Year One:
Game and Simulation Foundations: This course is designed to provide an introduction to game and simulation concepts and careers, the impact game and simulation has on society and industry, and basic game/simulation design concepts such as rule design, play mechanics, and media integration. This course also covers strategies, processes, and methods for conceptualizing a game or simulation application; storyboarding techniques; and development tools.

Game and Simulation Design: This course covers fundamental principles of designing a game or a simulation application, in particular Human Computer Interface (HCI) principles, rules, and strategies of play, conditional branching, design and development constraints, use of sound and animation, design tools, and implementation issues. Emphasis is placed on the techniques needed to develop well-documented, structured game or simulation programs. Extensive use is made of evaluating and analyzing existing games or simulations.

Game and Simulation 2D Graphic Animation: This course is focused on students acquiring skills to create, refine, and integrate realistic 2D graphics into a game or simulation product. Students will essentially learn how to use, file maintenance strategies, and migration techniques and issues.

Year Two:
Single User and Multi-User Game and Simulation Programming These courses continues the concepts of year one with emphasis on console game creation. Also, the concepts of network connections and delivery are examined and put into practice in a multi-player environment.

2D and 3D Graphic Animation: This year focuses on students acquiring skills to create, refine, and integrate realistic 2D and 3D graphics into a game or simulation product. Students will gain an understanding of vector graphics and how to apply them into a gaming environment.  2D hardware such as tablets and scanners will be used.  Learn how to use various 3D animation software packages concentrating on 3D world building, sprite animation, facial animation and particle system design.

This in-depth program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills to prepare students for employment in a Web Design Service position. The program's content focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following:

• Internet Programming including ASP.Net, PHP, and Javascript
• Web Enabled Database Design/Programming with SQL
• Web Site Development and Promotion
• The relationship between Networking and the Internet.
• Web Server Management and Security

This program leads to CIW Webmaster certifications. Completion of this course allows articulation to any community college in Florida equal to 12 credit hours (With Industry Certification/Portfolio).
